Happy Easter!

Did you just see the Easter Bunny hop by? Because, I think I did!

And what’s that over there? Is that a special Easter present just for you?

I think it might be!

(Full disclosure: I don’t really celebrate Easter, but any holiday that involves candy, baby animals, and deviled eggs is all right with me!)

It’s my patterns, the Little Knit Doll, and her Easter Set! These are some of my favorite patterns I’ve made- I mean, look at her! She’s totally cute! The doll is fully knit, and about 8 inches tall. In the basic pattern, the Little Knit Doll comes with a simple sun dress and a lot of hair. And the Easter set includes a cute puffed-sleeve dress, bunny ears, and an adorable little Easter basket.

Inspiration: Cheap Candy Day

It’s the day after Easter, and that can only mean one thing:

Cheap. Easter. Candy.

But, since I don’t have the metabolism of a sixteen-year-old anymore (alas), let’s celebrate Cheap Candy Day with some candy-inspired knitwear.

Munch on some (imaginary) jellybeans with these colorful beaded socks:

OK, all this talk of candy has made me hungry. I might just have to stop by the grocery store sale bin anyway. So much for self-control.

Pattern: Little Knit Doll Easter Set

Flowers are blooming, the sun is blue and I’m sneezing all over the place. It must almost be Easter! Candy and treasure hunting; what more could you ask for in a holiday?

The Little Knit Doll loves Easter, too and is ready to go hunting for Easter eggs. She’s got a cute new party dress, a festive bunny-ear headband and a tiny basket to hold the eggs (or jellybeans) she finds.

This festive little outfit knits up in a snap, and will be ready to add to your kid’s Easter basket by the Sunday after next. The dress is knit in the round with short row shaping to make the puffy sleeves and yarn-overs which make adding the ribbon details a snap. The ears are knit separately and attached to an I-cord headband. And, the basket is knit in a single piece with very little finishing.
