I’m curious. What have you been working on lately? A sweater for winter? A pile of cozy hats for Christmas gifts? Or are you knee-deep into a crazy lace shawl?
I’m well on my way through my Christmas knitting, but I still can’t really tell you about it (because several recipients of said Christmas knitting read the blog). Here’s a totally-useful picture of one of my current projects. I started really early this year, but I’m still on the edge of running out of time- I can feel it already. But, suppose it wouldn’t be the “holiday season” without the feeling of at least a little impending doom.
Anyway, I’m curious. Am I the only one chugging away on Christmas knitting? What are you making? I’d love to hear about your projects (or see pictures! If you send over pictures, they might end up on the blog, too!), so comment below with what you’re working on.
Working on the Stornoway Throw! Loving the cables. No Christmas knitting this year (yet . . .), but that feels Ok, too. Will send a picture of the blanket in progress 🙂
I recently bought the complete set of ChiaoGoo 4″ interchangeable knitting needle set…it is an early birthday/Christmas present for myself…I am knitting my third slouch hat…I love using these needles!
I’ve been working on hats (forever, it seems) for my knitting group. We donate to various needs around the country.
I’m a pretty selfish knitter most of the time, but I swore I’d make all 3 of my boys hats this fall. One wanted a Gir hat (Gir is a character in Invader Zim) so I designed & knit a hat (and a bonus scarf). Another wanted a luchador mask – I made Lucha Libre from Son of Stitch n Bitch for him. And the last has been wishy washy, but I’m making him an earflap hat with scales. And I’m working on a Bohus cardigan for me (lace weight yarn on size 1.5 needles).
Another selfish knitter here … I usually wait til about December 14 to decide I want to knit holiday gifts! I’m working on a colorwork sock and guernsey sweater at the moment, both for me!
90 of 100 squares done on the Hue Shift Afghan and still plugging away at it! Also have made a few pairs of fingerless gloves and a few child-size Azel Pullovers (sewing on buttons is not my fav thing, so once I bite the bullet and get that done, they can be wrapped/mailed.)
Oh, and I made an entralac scarf with Noro for a friend, LOVED doing that!
